The idea is kind of nice, to be honest. However, I wonder if Cathy’s parents are trying to guilt her into visiting … ?

Having my daughters and son-in-law home for Christmas is the only gift I ever need or want. Any other gift is a bonus.

My mother used to say nothing I have to wash, dust, clean, feed or take care of. I started giving her trips. She’d pick a vacation and I’d pay for us to go.

I agree. I don’t really want stuff anymore and I don’t want to give stuff either. For friends, I’m happy meeting for a nice lunch to catch up and enjoy time together. For family, I’m also happy to spend time together, maybe going on a trip or doing something fun.
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Sunday! I hope you all had a good day!

I feel the same…I have enough stuff…At my age, it’s time to unload some of it…but friends keep bringing gifts.
