You know, that’s about what this Thanksgiving is shaping up to be. Sitting at the table with a turkey TV dinner and a Facetime with family. Hang in there team Cathy. We’re all in this apart-ness, together.

If you have loved ones, can’t self isolate due to being an essential worker you will not go to family gatherings. If you don’t love your family, go ahead take the chance of giving your family an illness that might kill them.

My mother is planning a carry out order for me. :-)

Surprisingly relevant one these days. I suspect the cooking routine of many will simplify this year. However, time with family/those close to you is what counts.

HI, MOM. Happy Sunday, “Cathy” Clan.

For Thanksgiving this year (Canadian Thanksgiving is in October) instead of buying a whole turkey my wife purchased one breast and one drumstick. Had as much left over as we normally do when the whole family is here – of course the kids leave with more turkey than we keep. Worked out just fine. We talked on the phone with both daughters. Not as good as having them home but, all things considered, much safer.

Heavy winds with driving rain/sleet/snow/ice pellets today. Good day to stay inside. I hope everyone else is enjoying the day.

My hubby and I will do what we always do…small turkey, small bowl of stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, sweet potato casserole, brussels sprouts, maybe only one pie (apple). We’ll be satisfied, and consider ourselves thankful to have survived this year.
