Need I clarify how large a blunder it could be to use your time this way in this economy?? Woman: Is that 13 hours per day or per week?? Man: Also, if we're here that late, does it count as overtime?

Leave ’em be, boss. You do the same thing in your office when no one is looking. There seems to be a lot of hypocrisy going on in the office space in the world.

Yet they’re going to have a time-wasting meeting about this? Just give them goals that they need to meet, and let them figure out how to manage their time.

The last job I had outside my house was at the U.S. Census bureau for the 2000 census. There was no Christmas (or any other kind) of shopping done on work-time because they weren’t connected to the internet. I believe there was a way for the supervisors to have it on theirs, but not for us worker drones. We could send inner-office emails and do other work-related things on ours, but that was it. Really boring but at least it enabled us to better do our jobs without outside distractions preventing us from getting things done! ;-)
