As much as they are obsessed with their daughter, maybe now they can enjoy the fruits of their labors… meaning they realize their daughter has her own life and they have theirs, they can celebrate the holidays how they would like to celebrate (not how Cathy and Irving think they should), they can do things the way they like.

We were ready for the holidays to begin, just not yet ready for them to end!
I am with lightenup in not knowing what day it is. No matter what day it is though, please enjoy it.
