Irving: We'd like a cozy table for two in the back... ...where the wifi reception is better... ...near an outlet because my battery's low... ...far enough from other diners so YouTube doesn't have to be on total mute! Saleswoman: Something to start? Perhaps a nice little link to planet earth? Irving: No, thanks. I'm good.

I think Irving is going to be sleeping on the couch tonight!

I like the rule some people do – everyone puts their phones in the center of the table and whoever reaches for theirs first pays the bill for the WHOLE PARTY!

Irving needs a mute button sometimes. Ugh, he put his phone on Cathy’s place at the table. I hope she has car keys and leaves him there.
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Wednesday! Have a great day, all!

He’s has it in her place, because he wants to have dinner with his real love.

So, a nice quiet dinner with his newest love interest. He better save enough battery to call a cab. Perhaps a hotel is not out of the question. Might be better than the couch.

Just like I said yesterday ….. why bother going out for dinner when all he was going to do was play with his phone the entire time when they could just stay home and he could ignore her there for a lot less money than eating out at a nice restaurant was going to cost? And just LOOK at him. Irving’s so preoccupied with his newest “love interest” that he hasn’t even noticed that Cathy’s no longer THERE anymore. What an inconsiderate doofus that guy is! :-(

Long time ago before texting but after cell phones were common my wife and I went to a restaurant. There was a young couple at a table across the aisle from us obviously on a date. She spent the entire meal talking on her cell. Her date did not look happy at all. I wonder if they ever spoke to each other again.
Another midweek has arrived and will soon be gone. Enjoy it and stay safe.

(Not to be too repetitive here, from previous days, but … )
“Just a heaping serving of [eye-rolls] for me, thanks.”
Hey—when the comic inspires ’em this often … ha.

Um…maybe not, Irving.
