When I look at candy, meh. When I look at chocolate then I gain weight – probably because if I look at it I eat it. And yes, the other girl in the office just does not get it at all. But then, she does not seem to have a weight ‘problem’
Oh, to be that young and skinny again ….. when I had a TON of energy and stamina that was more than capable of burning off all the fat and calories that were contained within a single piece of candy (cake, or pie) before it had the time or capability of settling permanently everywhere on my body that I never wanted ANY of it to be. But now that I’m a lot older and my metabolism has slowed down to a crawl, it’s a real struggle to keep from adding anymore weight on to what I’ve already got and can’t quite seem to get rid of — no matter how many miles a day I walk. But I’m going to keep at it and maybe one of these days, I’ll finally see the results I’m hoping for ….. which is the ability to fit back into my old size 8 jeans again!

Not to be to literal here, but mostly it’s the candy we actually swallow that makes us fat. …yeah. US. We’re all in this together.

It’s when it enters your stomach in three-dimensional form that the problem begin. Candy used to be a rare treat; now it’s treated as a condiment.

(when) Her mind doesn’t work: that’s a “performance task” (like holding the cup)…

As Rhoda from The Mary Tyler Moore Show summed it up “One second on the lips, forever on the hips”. Valerie Harper was AWESOME. R.I.P.

The problem is looking=eating in my experience. Tho I’m not a big fan of candy, just chocolate.

Candy—a major food group. Along with chocolate, donuts, chocolate donuts, and several other related ones. Yum!
HI, MOM, and good to “see” you here tonight. [smile] Hello, “Cathy” Clan.
