Phoebe and Her Unicorn by Dana Simpson for January 24, 2013
Transcript:
Marigold: You do not seem to go to your angry place as often now. Phoebe: I guess since we've been hanging out, I haven't been as angry. Marigold: Since we have been "hanging out" I have not wasted a decade staring at my reflected beauty. Phoebe: I'm helpful! Marigold: And I am lovely!

I don’t see the charm of Marigold’s narcissism. My late grandmother was pathologically narcissistic. Two of my uncles are as well. It’s not the least bit pleasant.

Its not conciet or vainity when it is a statement of fact. Every horse I have met seems to have a similar point of view.

…A decade?

I’ve been missing this strip the last few days. I’m soooooo happy to have my daily dose of unicorn/girl friendship back! I’m glad that my current set of friends and acquaintances is blissfully free of seriously conceited folks. Maybe I’ve just gotten pickier about whom I share my time with.

Wow a decade? Do Unicorns just not starve to death when they get caught in there reflections? Also can you Imagine Marigold hooking up with Vanity Smurf?

They are good for each other. A friendship made in heaven, and mutually benificial. Perfect.

Falstaff is alcoholic. Don Quixote is delusional. Moe Howard is a bully. Barney Stimson is a gynecomaniac. And Mickey Mouse has a record of cruelty to animals. Welcome to comedy.

It’s a good thing Marigold can graze while she’s gazing at her reflection.
