Jeffrey: "The Walking Dead" comes back on tomorrow night, and it makes me realize how lucky we are to live here. Danae: Uh... why is that? Jeffrey: The show takes place in the South, where it doesn't snow. Zombies would freeze solid and be easy to pick off if they'd move up here with us! Danae: Ok... you know it's not a documentary, right? Jeffrey: Yes, of course I do. But it could be! Danae: No, it couldn't be. Jeffrey: Wait... you can read minds?! Danae: You're a boy, Jeffry... it's not that difficult.

Too bad the reverse is not as true.

We’re not simple, we’re just predictable.

Danae’s been taking lesson from Opal Pickles, whose been “reading” her grandson’s mind ( and Earl’s ), all week.

I thought Jeffrey was the smart one. The Walking Dead is set (and filmed) in the mountains of north Georgia where it not only snows but gets quite cold in the winter.

Jeffery loves the show so much, he’s even making a Zombie Snowman.

Has Wiley been sneaking over and peeking at Pickles? (-and on all week; Gramma has the same talent. Some of us are such easy reads…)
And it’s not that Danae has become ‘reality-oriented’; it’s just not her flavor of fantasy. (I suspect Wiley has daughters.)

I’ve lost my mind and now my wife can’t read it.

How hard is it to read a booger brain?
Varnes almost 12 years ago
I’m not sure why, but Zombies are so muck cooler than vampires and werewolves..I guess they seem more innocent…..Christopher Moore’s take on them in The Stupidest Angel, is funnier than hell…….

It helps if you’re the cartoonist and you write everyone’s thoughts. Then any character can “know” what any other character is thinking. ;-)

Werewolves, vampires and zombies..Real 21st Century stuff there…Yup, back in the 50’s, that’s exactly what I thought things would be like in 2013!
How come there isn’t a show about zombies in jet packs and fling cars, eating brain pills in space? Huh?Varnes almost 12 years ago
I meant flying cars, but let me think about Fling Cars for a little while…I got it! Angry Zombies in Fling Cars!

Men are ‘Simple’. I feel I must clarify this statement. ‘Simple’ as in ‘uncomplicated’ or ‘not difficult’.I wish, oh wish, I could say that about all the women in my life.

What’s happened to Jeffery"
emptc12 almost 12 years ago
Anne Rice, who wrote of many supernatural and preternatural entities, suggests zombies are vampires once partially starved of blood when first improperly initiated. As a result, they were brain damaged; and while they continue to exist with the strength and blood-thirst of vampires, they lack the finesse and cunning to take victims in unobtrusive ways..Zombies are an ancient concept. In the beginning they probably were human sleepwalkers taken as night spirits. Later, the image was integrated into mythology as spirits of the dead called back for information, as Ulysses did, lured by offerings of fresh blood..We have zombies at my company. They are middle-class zombies, and my co-workers. I see them each morning emerging from their cars in the mist of the dimly-lit parking lot. They stumble into the building, and instead of blood, they seek coffee; instead of flesh, they seek donuts.

It’s still snowing and high winds, causing huge drifts. Had to shovel special areas for our dogs, and have to wait until tomorrow at least to begin digging out.
Gokie5 almost 12 years ago
Especially why he has all that snow right now. Good luck with that, Wiley!

Unusual to see Danae being rational. Jeffrey is rational only in matters of science; otherwise he would understand that Kate is a lot more interesting than Danae. If men could read women’s minds there would be a brief spike in divorce proceedings and a brief plunge in births. Brief because as I often say, men understand women well enough but they prefer not to believe what they understand. Understand?

Poor Jeff. Everybody knows 80% of the zombie makeup is sinew and a tad of collagen. Not so freezeable as 90% water. He’d have to move to Winnepeg before cold even became a zombie stopping factor..There are plenty of Iroquois legends about night active zombies reaching out and yanking the liver (preferred to brain) out of some poor fleshey.

unfair…unfair advantage… I demand that men should be able to read women’s minds too… Obama… Make it so.

I had a friend who read his wife’s mind once…then he moved out. There are some places you just don’t want to go.

The whole idea of a woman being able to read my mind has kept me single for a long time….best way to accomplish it is keep your thoughts inside your head blank stare and laugh A LOT for no reason at all.

Most people are barely able to drive in 2 dimensions. Flight involves 3. Don’t blame the FAA…blame good ol’ homo sapiens. We DO have limits…or why ain’t you jumping center in the NBA?
