I thought Jeffrey was the smart one. The Walking Dead is set (and filmed) in the mountains of north Georgia where it not only snows but gets quite cold in the winter.

Has Wiley been sneaking over and peeking at Pickles? (-and on all week; Gramma has the same talent. Some of us are such easy readsā€¦)

And itā€™s not that Danae has become ā€˜reality-orientedā€™; itā€™s just not her flavor of fantasy. (I suspect Wiley has daughters.)

Iā€™m not sure why, but Zombies are so muck cooler than vampires and werewolves..I guess they seem more innocentā€¦..Christopher Mooreā€™s take on them in The Stupidest Angel, is funnier than hellā€¦ā€¦.

It helps if youā€™re the cartoonist and you write everyoneā€™s thoughts. Then any character can ā€œknowā€ what any other character is thinking. ;-)

Werewolves, vampires and zombies..Real 21st Century stuff thereā€¦Yup, back in the 50ā€™s, thatā€™s exactly what I thought things would be like in 2013!

How come there isnā€™t a show about zombies in jet packs and fling cars, eating brain pills in space? Huh?

Men are ā€˜Simpleā€™. I feel I must clarify this statement. ā€˜Simpleā€™ as in ā€˜uncomplicatedā€™ or ā€˜not difficultā€™.I wish, oh wish, I could say that about all the women in my life.

Anne Rice, who wrote of many supernatural and preternatural entities, suggests zombies are vampires once partially starved of blood when first improperly initiated. As a result, they were brain damaged; and while they continue to exist with the strength and blood-thirst of vampires, they lack the finesse and cunning to take victims in unobtrusive ways..Zombies are an ancient concept. In the beginning they probably were human sleepwalkers taken as night spirits. Later, the image was integrated into mythology as spirits of the dead called back for information, as Ulysses did, lured by offerings of fresh blood..We have zombies at my company. They are middle-class zombies, and my co-workers. I see them each morning emerging from their cars in the mist of the dimly-lit parking lot. They stumble into the building, and instead of blood, they seek coffee; instead of flesh, they seek donuts.

Itā€™s still snowing and high winds, causing huge drifts. Had to shovel special areas for our dogs, and have to wait until tomorrow at least to begin digging out.

Unusual to see Danae being rational. Jeffrey is rational only in matters of science; otherwise he would understand that Kate is a lot more interesting than Danae. If men could read womenā€™s minds there would be a brief spike in divorce proceedings and a brief plunge in births. Brief because as I often say, men understand women well enough but they prefer not to believe what they understand. Understand?

Poor Jeff. Everybody knows 80% of the zombie makeup is sinew and a tad of collagen. Not so freezeable as 90% water. Heā€™d have to move to Winnepeg before cold even became a zombie stopping factor..There are plenty of Iroquois legends about night active zombies reaching out and yanking the liver (preferred to brain) out of some poor fleshey.
