Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Alex: So how's the book coming? Jeff: Great, actually. Although it's a slog. I'm such a perfectionist. I can spend days on a single paragraph. Alex: Wow... sounds brutal. I could never write a "book." Jeff: It's a book, not a "book." Alex: Yeah, okay.
When Elizabeth made that deal, she shouldâve added that she expected to see daily, rough draft hard-copies of his writing.(Typed or handwritten) Itâs what my writing class professors expected. Twice a week we had to write in daily-journals, and SHOW that we were writing in them, with the date and title up at the top.
So sheâs had the laundry right up in front of her for the past 2 days. Does Jeff know about the twins/pregnancy? Canât remember if sheâd told him or notâŠ.
Jeff should hang out with the deposed-dictator (now bartender) and find out about his plans to take bake the country. He could write a storyline where the red rascal gets involved. Maybe he can also through in a twist where he becomes the target of a sanctioned drone strike.
The difference between Dapper Dan and me, is I deliberately misspell, in an attempt to create a certain pronunciation. Also, Danny Boy didnât have the advantages of Spell Check on his Smart Phone !
That would be more convincing if the first line werenât already considerably longer than the four below it (for instance, Jeffâs second line in the preceding panel is already the longest in his block, but if âperfection-istâ hadnât been hyphenated it would have been even longer).
Can someone please clue me in on what Drewâs big news (which was interrupted by âMailbag weekâ on Jan 28) was? Iâve been keeping up but somehow didnât get her revelation. Am I not understanding something . . . help please!
Alex will be sorry when the adventures of the Red Rascal is made into a major motion picture (with Jeff playing himself of course, since no actor could ever portray the nuances of the Rascal) and she wonât be invited to the world premier.
When is Jeffrey going to become an interesting character? Heâs got the maturity of a five-year-old, the ambition of a skid-row bum, the sense of entitlement of a welfare queen, and personality of a three-toed sloth. What a waste of space!

Annoying that ânev-erâ was needlessly hyphenated and split across 2 linesâŠ
beprepn about 12 years ago
Dear Goulo â why DID they hyphenate ânever?â

Conspiracy theories abound because âneverâ is hyphenated?! Yow!As Robin Williams said in his impromptu Shakespeare days: âAssholes do vex me!â

As bad an agent as he was, Jeff was over there screwing stuff up. Thatâs what triggered his fantasies. He needs to go to Pakistan.

Sorry, sherpa, weâre all on pins and needles. Itâs just a cliffhanger, and I guess it will be revealed in GTâs good time.
