Phoebe: My dad taught me to do this! A bunny! An elephant! A unicorn! I'm so sad! I have no hands! I can't do shadow puppets like Phoebe! Boo hoo- BWAH!! Okay, you can do cool stuff too. Marigold: I know.
Some papers don’t print on Sundays, sometimes for religious reasons, sometimes because they are business-oriented and there’s no business news on Sundays, sometimes because they can’t afford the hardware to produce a traditional extra-large Sunday issue, sometimes because they want to give the staff a day off. When I was a kid in Maine, the local paper ran Monday through Saturday, but if we wanted a Sunday paper, we had to go to a newsstand and buy one from Boston.
Sometimes, in fact, the weekday paper and the Sunday are technically two different papers, with different staffs, etc..
What it boils down to is that I don’t know of /any/ continuing-story newspaper strip, now or at any time in the last hundred-odd years, to have the same story running all seven days, unless the Sunday strip just recaps and/or anticipates the other six days. In a webcomic, of course, the situation is different, but there are plans for “Heavenly Nostrils” to go into newspapers, so it has to follow newspaper rules.
It also makes a nice rest for the creators. It keeps them from having to focus too intently on one plot.

Phoebe and Marigold are obsessed with impressing each other. It’s cute, especially when Marigold does it.

Anyone else wish it were later so they could test those shadow puppets out for themselves?

Its the technology vs magic show again. Humans got no magic, Unicorns got no technology.

Of course a sufficiently advanced technology will eventually master antigravity and unicorn magic can substitute for hands.

Marigold used a contraction in panel five. Is that a first?
And BTW, Night-Gaunt 49, you mean “telekineses.”

Who reads comics only on weekdays? I know some people only get the Sunday paper, but I don’t think I’ve heard of people doing the opposite.
