I’d wait to see who “profits” before i’d dare say much about Walden’s “new” setup. most likelye it will be "profits for the 1% and bills for the 99%.’ lol stupid propagandized 99%. Capitalism/Fascism American Style. a nice set up for those parasites that create Profit based Greed. as Margaret Thatcher said, “There is no such thing as Society.”

The “for profit” college model is the darling of conservatives. They have resisted Obama’s attempts to tighten the rules on which schools qualify for Federal grants & student loans. The “for profit” graduation rate is 22% For comparison, public colleges graduate 55% and non-profit private colleges graduate 65% of thier students.http://www.salon.com/2012/04/16/a_huge_student_loan_scam/

Don’t confuse corporatism (what we have now) with capitalism (ie a free market free of gub’ment control). Corporation exist because of and for the government. Corporations also benefit from government protections. For example, BP – the person or people responsible for the spill in the gulf will never be held liable because corporate charters, granted by the gub’ment, protect the individual. There are no corporations in a free market. Their may be partnerships, but individuals, not pieces of paper, are in charge and therefore individuals can be held responsible and liable. Profits, in a free market, are earned by providing good products and services, not by gub’ment subsidies and price controls.

‘Once the student population drops by over 50%, we’ll see how “profitable” Walden will be!’.“No problem, Susan, we’ll just double the tuition.”The ultimate goal of all these corporations is to make all their profit from as few suckers as possible. It lowers overhead.

We’ll see if this is a good idea. Probably not. There are so many variables, that work against the student, in this question of student loans and grants. Some of which include unsupportive spouses, family emergencies and y’all can think of many more. I know most of y’all have focused on the benefits to the corporations versus the lack of benefits for the students. Add my list to what you already have and you can see the disaster that’s occurring. Just another credit nightmare for the country.

I have been thinking about Zipper’s status as a professional and legacy student. Wouldn’t it be ironic if Waldon actually gives him a job as a tenured student ? He could offer on-line advice to the unsuspecting telecommuting students, as he did for the campus newbies.Waldon could name him Professional Student Emeritus !

HERE’S THE TRUTHFUL TESTIMONY ABOUT Benghazi: a Republican House cut embassy security funding by over 400 million (2011-12), despite having been warned by the administration that so doing would put Americans at risk. But good luck getting chronic liars Boehner et-al to ’fess up to their BENGHAZI boner. Now why don’t you stop being a little troll with your Benghazi coverup conspiracy that you’ve never once offered a shred of evidence for, or even reasonable supposition. Of course, in that, no better or worse than Sen. McCain, who when questioned about what exactly the supposed coverup is, could not answer the question either, and instead attacked the interviewer. It’s kind of embarrassing for everyone when the Senator (and yourself) don’t realize they’re marching around with no clothes. But really, it’s most embarrassing by far for you to keep parading around, and pretending you’re not naked, without a stitch of evidence to cover your foolishness.
