Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Can’t remember the title, but there was a kid’s book out there, called something like “eating fried worms.” Boy in school was challenged to eat worms. He fried some, ate them, and started a fad. Great story.
Funny, my parents just went slug-picking last night. Drown them in a bag of soapy water. Better than having them eat all the veggies in the garden, or the plants in the shade gardens.
I have to say, Calvin’s logic is impeccable. Not that I’d stay, but he does have a logical reason to seek out worms.
+++++
It does remind me of the Far Side where the birds are perched on a baby buggy handle, with one talking about how he’s been stuffing worms into the baby all day and it’s still hungry.
I say that I am spoilt Like beef over almost any meat etc etc,the point is if you lived here you would find out that our worms and slugs are of very poor quality .
I read recently that the UN is recommending the eating of insects and establishment of insect farms. I’m not sure if that’s a real policy, or the setup for a SyFy Original Movie…
I saw it. Calvin should take those slugs and worms to fish with. Maybe he could invite Susie to go along with them. Of course she would probably catch more fish and Hobbes would be even more fond of her.

Originally ran many many years before Survivor. The man was a visionary!

As part of Calvin’s imagination, doesn’t Hobbes’ comments invalidate Calvin’s comments?

Actually in different cultures, humans eat slugs and worms. Big deal.

For sale outside my place this morning: fried crickets and fried “water cockroaches”. And there is more at the market (I live in Cambodia).

“You saute them with lemon and butter,” Dobbyn said. “They are crunchy on the outside, but they’re soft in the middle.”

Some people can’t seem to figure out that this isn’t a political strip. Get over it, O! You have been flagged, as usual.

Eating slugs raw can be fatal—just google “eating slugs fatal”. Better to eat them fried, poached or toasted!
