Has the gym teacher’s name always been “Hamhock”? And it sounds like she’s ordering a “hit” on poor Dean! I don’t see this turning out well.

As I recall, that was a line from the song “I’m not in love.” It was whispered, repeatedly, at one point between verses, and gradually faded out.

Any teacher who ordered a hit on a kid, even in a dodgeball class, would be out on the street by the next period. In fact, more than a few schools have banned dodgeball because “it damages little kids’ psyches.” Yeah, right. As a friend of mine has pointed out, the Bible, especially the gospels, has a lot to say about self-denial. Self-esteem, not so much.
