What a huge thrill that’ll be. And you wonder why she spends so much time (and money) at the mall.

Yeah, and then Cathy can be more efficient and spend more time at home gathering up Irving’s various toys, putting them in a box and mailing them to Timbuktu while he and his folks are all asleep.

Susan001, I hate to say this, but I agree with you…divorce is always terrible…but in this case…
But, she must take her dog only.

Whack him with your “old-fashioned” newspaper, Cathy!

I knew he wasn’t dressed for work yesterday!
I said a while back that Cathy should divorce him, throw them all out, and find herself a younger, muscley, boy toy to liven this thing up. That’s her house, so she shouldn’t leave it. The lump sold his house, and he and Vivian moved into hers when they finally gave up and got married. Let him go find a place for himself and his parents. And his phone.
I sure hope they don’t have kids!
My old fashioned Sunday paper, which I get for coupons and sales ads, has “news” from Tuesday in it, and a new, big weekly section on muslim living! They can’t figure out why they are almost out of business.

It’s pretty bad when the comments are better than the comic!!!

I think that the original assumptions on which the strip was based are not what Cathy Guisewite wants to change. Would Cathy still be Cathy if she did?
Of course CG might consider what changes she has made in her own life, as a basis for making changes in the strip…
My newspaper long since stopped carrying this strip. They said too many people were tired of it; but I missed it. Maybe the drawings? altho nobody will ever consider that that’s what dogs could even be imagined to look like. They is the most un-doglike dogs I is ever seed (rendered in Pogofenokee language)!
So when I started reading the comics on the Internet, I was very happy to be able to go back to reading Cathy again.
I like the satire! the exaggeration to make a point!

I wish all the folks who gripe about this comic would go to Timbuktu. Some of us like the strip just the way it is (and has always been). Yes, it is satire, and the characters are exaggerated – that’s why it’s funny. It seems to be lost on some people – does it have to be “reality TV” to be funny for everyone? Quit griping or get lost.
