my tendency on seeing the word emesis was to pronounce it eh MEE sis, which gives more depth to the use of mooses in the last panel. I find myself now very unsure of which vacation the kid actually wants.

goose, geese  =>  moose, meese     or alternatively, noose, nooses => moose, mooses     Also, mouse, mice  =>  moose, mice(i.e., drop the third letter) The English language is everything but consistent !!
