Andy: Jason, what are you doing? Jason: Tying the ends of my spaghetti noodles together. This way, I'll be able to suck down my entire dinner in one long slurp. Pretty great idea, huh? Andy: <sigh> Roger: Why do you put all those red "X"'s in your cookbook? Jason: Whoa! Cool! I can pull it back out!

I seem to remember a Travel Channel “Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern” episode where Andrew tried a noodle dish that consisted of a very long single noodle.

STOP being such a Spoilsport!

I never tied the ends together, but I would hold one end so I could pull it back out. Felt weird, but worth the reaction it got.

I don’t think a single food exists that Jason can’t play with.

Why didn’t she simply teach her kids not to play with their food when they were younger, and KEEP AT IT? (I am so against playing with food that I’ve even told my daughters’ teachers that I will not use food for school projects.)

I’m surprised the spaghetti doesn’t get stuck on the knots.

I never had a chance to play with my food. It disappeared far too quickly!

I know Andy’s not the best cook in the world, but does she really have to follow a cookbook recipe for spaghetti?
dflak over 11 years ago
Given Andy’s cooking abilities, she should put a red X against everything in the cookbook.
My son works for a dinner theater – they advertise “Play with your food.”

You just screwed up BIG TIME, Jason, and stop grossing everyone out.

That’s why I break my spaghetti noodles into 4 pieces prior to cooking. I have 2 boys.

After what Andy did to Roger, what ever Jason does, she deserves it, and even more so!

How the hay do you tie spaghetti noodles together? I would’ve thought the noodles would just break rather than knot…

no wonder she does weird recipes if she keeps crossing out the regular ones
