I see a crack in the Fourth Wall appearing… ;-)

All looks perfectly in sync for those four panels. Coffee, Cream, Sugar, Conversation.

In panel three, it appears that a rip in space time has moved his butt to his front. Shades of President Skroob.

At least they haven’t fallen victim to the Trudeau Conundrum: how to judge the passing of time in an early Doonesbury strip when the artwork in all four panels was identical.

In the fifth panel, they are in the garden in different clothes and Arlo says: “I have it!”

I believe this is simply showing that the entire conversation could and should have taken place in the time he took to pour his coffee. In reality, there would have been gaps of up to a minute between sentences if they were stated at the points shown from pouring coffee to already being seated at the table.

Enough of the deep cerebral stuff… comics are supposed to be comical… i.e., funny.

I don’t care for the way this strip is going, I’d like to know what’s going on with chip and his family etc. I don’t care for all this political and tech stuff. they almost seem angry with each other lately.

I enjoyed that show.-Let us not forget Arlo spent all last week lecturing us regarding the rights mentioned in the Declaration of Independence.
