Ah yes, the Koch brothers who inherited great oil wealth and spend a fortune on lobbying for taxing the poor and middle class, as well as spending a fortune on Media. Rush’s advertising revenues do not add up to a profitable network unless they are subsidized. Programs like Rush and Hannity pay radio stations to carry their programs, and allow the local affiliates to run of little local advertising. Rush really doesn’t have many ads, and cannot be making a profit without subsidies. Yes, I do know a little about Radio Business, and have done contract work for firms hired by Premier and their owners, Clear Channel. I also knew Koch père back in the old days with Marshall, and I promise none of those heirs are Übermenschen, but they certainly would like people to believe they are better than others, they are poor examples of Nietszchean Supermen, they are exactly the type Rand was trying to butter up, even though adjusted for inflation they have not performed well.
Nathaniel Branden (born Nathan Blumenthal, but had to change it something more heroic) was Rand’s acolyte & lover. He went on to found the Self Esteem movement.
