Rose: My "let things be" tree is always here to calm me! When I lean against it...
Rose: I'm able to just let things be...I often lose all track of time...
Rose: A lean patrol agent usually finds me and escorts me home!
Rose never seems to have any serious trouble. Great husband with a steady job, angelic kid, nice house, enough money, wonderful friends, mom and neighbors. And yet she is wasting her whole day leaning against a tree. What exactly does she have to ālet beā exactly, I wonder? And who takes care of her kid and her chores while she does?
Stress doesnāt have to be about anything. I think my own life is just about perfect and no health problems (no meds, and Iām 75) but even with a āperfectā diet -vegetarian, no alcohol, cheese or meat, I canāt get BP readings to stay reliably low. I just have to keep busy DOING stuff all the time.
At least HBP is my only problem, because I refuse to take meds. If Iām going to ingest poison, it has to be one that I enjoy!
Dazz, Love Ya! Stay away from prepared meals & canned sauces. That will help lower salt intake and is good for lower BP. Itās painless & drug free! :-)
Even if itās hereditary, I think stress is involved. This isnāt heaven after all. Sometimes we are not aware of what causes the stress. Itās just that hereditary factors make it much more likely, if not inevitable.
I married into a family that gets dysthymia, seemingly no matter what. Dysthymia is a form of depression that can make one feel miserable, but does not render one incapable of getting up and going to work, or even getting up to go to the bathroom. Most of the descendants have it. No matter how outwardly ideal their existence is, many of these souls still need meds in order to exist without sniveling or snapping peopleās heads off. Iām glad Iām connected with this clan, though, and would do it again.
If stress was the sole cause HBP Iād have it. If it was only gentics Iād have it (both mom and dad) But itās not, itās a whole lot of everything. .When I was younger my BP was so low Iād get dizzy spells, and the only time Iāve ever been even boorderline was when I was expecting my second child. But I could never stand to add salt to food (except homemade torillia chips and only after playing/working outside in the summer.) O/c now Iām low on iodine and have to take itā¦..

I love Jimboās calm, matter-of-fact expression as he carries Rose off like a store mannikin.
