Reminds me of the fate of a store chain here in CTā¦Caldorās was facing bankruptcy. Target offered to buy the stores, keep the staff, etc.The CEO could (A) sell the chain, and keep everyone working, or (B) put it out of business, and collect a huge bonus, as written into his conract.Guess which he chose?(The employees had to go to court to get what was owed them.)
Chute, (See what I did there?), and they say government is inefficientā¦.You get a bonus even if you screw things up? Even politicians donāt have those ballsā¦..
I kinda wish he showed that broker the appropriate response, not that wishy washy one. There should be NO smiles on anyone down there let alone a broker. The correct response would be too graphic for a family comic page.
the devil made the fine print and the ultra-fine print and the ultra-ultra-fine print that states that he can change the rules any time he wants and the only one that can change that is GOD.
Iāll tell you what Iāll do, Oh devious Hell Lord. You can have my soul, Iām not using it anyway, and I get to keep the money including my bonuses.
Sturgeon Bay is ridiculously beautifulā¦..Nothing but the clear, almost invisible, water of Lake Michigan, with itās sand beaches, sand dunes, towering pinesā¦.And no houses, at all! Just an occasional lighthouseā¦..Sorry, but Iām a proud Michiganerā¦.(No, not āganderā and no, not āgainianā , Iām a Michganerā¦..pronounce it any way you wantā¦).
I worked for a company that had just gotten bought out. Naturally the new company put its own top management in. Three months later, the company got bought out again and our top boss lost his job. He was complaining about the paultry $15M severance package.
@ poppy1313: Depends on who the contract was written for. The City Employee pension-holders in Detroit are discovering much to their shock that some contracts are more āiron cladā than othersā¦
