When I was growing up and one of our cats had just had kittens, I was playing with them and I had two of them all wrapped up on my hands. I stood up and said “Look, mittens!”

Color can help comics a lot . . . this morning I read A & J in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, but it was in black and white. Here you can see Luddy’s comic “smile” in the third panel, and tell in the fourth that he’s hanging onto Luddy’s sleeve. BTW, I recently came up to WI from FL; down there, it stays in the 80’s and 90’s (still); up here it poings between the 40’s and 80’s.
