73-F at the moment (9 PM EDT) with thunderstorms later. And the trouble with sitting under an umbrella at the beach is that the sun bounces off the sand and water and you still get a nasty burn.
Now I’m really starting to suspect something fishy. Dani Rice’s comment says “1 minute ago” but she says it’s 9 PM EDT. It’s 7 AM here in Central America (same as CDT in the US)… Oh, I’m mark it up to a typo. But I still can’t understand how so many people get today’s comics 8 hours before me. I thought they were all in Australia or Europe, but they’re not.
Currently 75 degrees, real feel 88 degrees, highs expected to be 86 with a real feel of 93. Sunny now, thunderstorms later. Gee it’s September 1st already! Sigh! :-(
Re: yesterday’s question from Tony, a little late but I just thought of a saying one of old bosses used, she would say “I’m busier than a one armed Paper Hanger”.
One thing I’ve never understood: why some people go to the beach merely to lie there and bake or broil, and avoid the ocean. Or take a very brief, minuscule dip, at most. To me, going into the ocean was always the main point, otherwise why bother?

11C right now. Supposed to be in the upper 20s for the next few days. That going to feel quite warm to us. We had a cool, wet summer this year.

Hot AND humid (for us) here in Phoenix these days (reached over 50%RH yesterday although not reaching 100).
Still if I check my old haunts in Chicago area, 85%RH (my hair was always straight and straggley). I’ll be working indoors these days.
