And please remember that less-than-pleasant feelings toward the obese is just another form of prejudice. With some obese people, the problem is endocrine.

On my ballot I voted in support of a marijuana tax. I hope it passes. Weed could become a revenue stream, not a drain on police, court and prison budgets. Progress.

While it will be pleasant to see new episodes soon, this flashback to the premarriage time of these two has been refreshing.

I don’t care at all about his weight (except that if the surgery doesn’t work, he would be unelectable nationally). I’m more concerned that he can’t control his temper and loves to scream at teachers in public. Now, some surreptitious anger management classes might be in line. But he’s not going to do that because he’s perfect!

Obesity doesn’t just affect physical appearance. Also, many have other issues with Christie, as noted by Kaffekup. Diabetes and heart disease are very serious problems.

Or, consider that the “black-market surcharge” is being knocked down as competition among the suppliers unleashes the beauty of the invisible hand, just like we learned in Econ 101. Maybe it’s better if the taxes on the cheaper (and stronger!) weed go to parks and schools and roads, rather than drug dealers and their ammo suppliers. Final price will probably still be lower than it was during prohibition.
