it’s not the body, but the person she emulating that is the issue. There is a difference between between artistic showing of the body and just plain trash. As for violence and mutilation…that is kind of the cornerstone of the holiday.

Could be worse — she could be wearing a wrecking ball, and nothing else…

Actually if you look closely she looks like she ahs some sort of animal on top of her head. The round things look like eyes while below are paws and her pony-tail is the tail.

That’s true. We should be disgusted more by violence. As for skimpy clothes, if you’re a guy, that makes it really hard not to lust. It appears to effect girls to, but I don’t have experience with that.

Absolutely love the refreshingly patriotic support of killing and the natural and moral aversion to unrepressed sexuality! Kudos to the commenters who aren’t afraid to express their disgust at the idea of scantily-clad women. That is what is wrong with this country: the reluctance to murder whenever there is a possible threat to the greatest culture world has ever known. And – ugh – all this support and desire for the expression of sexuality.

That’s not fear, it’s disgust.

One of my 2 teenage grand daughters has already posted herself and friends on FB in bikinis. The other (younger) one is serious about the Theater arts and is applying to 2 excellent colleges.

Only thing scarier was Joan Rivers in the same costume (she recently wore for “Fashion Police”).

Americans are taught to be confused and conflicted by parents who are themselves poorly educated and also by school boards who all bring in a bunch more “politically correct” ideas. Just one of my daughter-in-laws can discuss things of that nature and my new son-in-law just a bit. Both of them had some or all education elsewhere (not my stuffy suburban upbringing). My own mother handed me a book (and it was rather late). I did very little better (my 3 sons were the older ones) – I purchased “protection” for them and was far too embarrassed to say much.

I don’t know how much you don’t know, so I’ll start from scratch.

Miley Cyrus used to be a cute girl who starred in the TV show “Hannah Montana”. She has had a number of successful albums, both under “Hannah” and “Miley”. Since the show has ended she has been trying to prove that she’s all “grown up” now by trying to be as shocking as possible. In a recent music awards show she wore a nude-colored bikini, did obscene things with one of those large foam fingers (the ones like you see at sporting events), sticking her tongue out and doing a move called “Twerking” (Google it). Paige is dressed like that.

I didn’t think Miley’s performance was all that great, but you have to admit, it’s gotten her a lot of publicity . . . people are still talking about it . . .

Never happened, the only poisioned Halloween candy was a dad who did it to his own kid’s after trick or treating, (and mayeb the witch in Snow White) Scopes busts it quite well.
