Having a firm grip of the weapon is good gun control. Good ammunition control is important, too. All rounds should be accounted for. If one round is missing from the inventory, point the barrel at your foot and pull the trigger to verify the round is not in a stupid place.

Never point at anything you are not willing to kill.Never kill anything you are not willing to eat..Consider what you might kill if you are high, low, to either side or if the shot passes through or is deflected .A gun is a tool for making holes from a distance,NEVER use it as a toy.
