What do you do while you eat?

Eat and chat when we have our family ‘round the table. Electronics and phone calls are not permitted. However, if I’m eating on my own I’ll generally be reading, either electronic content or a good book.

I also chew and swallow. I’m usually watching the tube while doing that when I’m at home.

While eating, I usually watch the food related shows from my TiVo’s “now playing”. I live alone and (since those increase my appetite but also give me ideas for healthier meals) I use that FOR (rather than against me).

When I have a guest over (including my kids and their families) or when I visit the kids or someone, we always chat.

Now that the kids are grown and flown, hubby and I both read at the table. Sometimes I think we have to invite people over so we’ll have something to talk about. Thirty-nine years and both retired, we run out of things to discuss.

We talk during dinner. If I’m eating alone, I’ll read or watch TV.

Try….mebbe…eating!
