Phoebe and Her Unicorn by Dana Simpson for November 12, 2013
November 11, 2013

Transcript:
Marigold: If your lesson is tomorrow, you should practice today.
Phoebe: Then I will take you home now. Phoebe: Yeah, but let's take the scenic route. Marigold: That way lies procrastination.
Phoebe: But also this really cool puddle.
When I was 13, I got my first horse, Royal. My parents signed me up for piano lessons about the same time. 40+ years later, I still have horses. I think the piano lessons lasted about 6 months and died a painful death.
Maybe Phoebe has an unexpressed plan regarding that puddle, because if Marigold chances to see her reflection in it…Phoebe will have the perfect excuse for missing practice—rescuing Marigold from her “staring stasis.” :-)

I think Marigold would be smart enough to figure out what Phoebe was planning, though.

Am I the only one who can’t resist “playing” with my fingers in puddles left when glasses sweat on restaurant tables?
