I can attest to the fact that bamboo can be fattening, as when I chop up bacon on my bamboo cutting board.
But in Bi-Polar Bear’s case, that’s not fat. That’s embonpoint. And just because it’s bad for humans doesn’t mean it’s bad for other creatures.
I was just reading a bizarre story about a Uinta ground squirrel that was ‘kidnapped’ from Utah and taken to Wisconsin, where it was sold as a pet. When ‘things didn’t work out’ (surprise, surprise!), the poor animal was surrendered to wildlife authorities and returned to Utah. The catch is that now they have to trick it out of hibernating because it doesn’t have enough body fat to survive.
I seem to recall that bamboo is very hard to digest for the pandas and get anything useful out of, so they’re required to eat LOTS of it, which is why that’s all you ever see them doing…

Maybe Bi-Polar bear should just pretend that Dudley is a pop can and step on him. Now THAT would be funny.

Wait for Dudley to eat something and comment about it stunting his growth.

Very unchivalrous, Sir Dudley. Poor Bi-Polar Bear has gone from manic to depressive because of your heartless remark. You should do penance!
