…. Maybe one of Trout’s many uncles is a responsible type?…..Ok. Maybe not that considering its Trout’s mom…..maybe the nice paramedic guy knows someone more mature than the Beaver?(YES! i know that’s not how he’s called.But it is the age he acts)

Not liking how he answered her question with a question…. Please, Granny P. has got to pull through!

Call the church?? Give the Minister a chance to practice what he preaches??

A good question. There are so few adults seen (or even unseen) in the strip. Heaven help us if Agnes ends up with the aunt in Pomeroy.

I don’t like the serious turn this strip has taken. And why am I feeling genuine concern for a comic strip character?

I’m a little concern on the turn of events this comic strip is getting into.

I agree with others that this “comic” is getting a bit serious. But yes, call the church. Agnes must have friends in Sunday School, and their moms would be willing to step in. (At least, that’s how it is at our church.)

I’m afraid not.

I think it’s ok for a comic to turn serious once in a while as long as there’s a happy ending. I’m hoping for a happy ending very much right now.

Blondie would feed her. Dagwood would teach Agnes how to make proper sandwiches.

They could call her Principal. He’s spent enough time with her.

It would serve the Principal right! But I wouldn’t wish it on Agnes! I’ve always disliked Agnes’ principal and teachers, they just don’t recognize her genius! I , too, would think some church folks would help out.

I think Lio and his dad would have room for her…

It is very easy to feel concern for a comic-strip character. One of the first lessons in writing is that fictional people are often more real than the fictional variety.Their small lives are ‘lived’ more intently and passionately than our real ones…

As serious as the subject is, I’ still laughed at Trout and Agnes’ response to the question. Gives me hope that things will turn out all right in the end since the author is letting them give a silly answer.

Maybe Agnes will be fine by herself.
