You reap what you sow. I haven’t bought a ticket to a major league stadium in ANY sport for over 20 years now. It’s the minors or college for me! If you don’t like the obscene salaries big leaguers make, stop paying their wages.
If you want sports at the most unspoiled level, check out DIII colleges or the smaller high schools. I can guarantee nobody’s getting rich in those places. I’m a football PA announcer at a high school with about 100 students and love it…they don’t have to pay me because I’ve been fine with getting in for free and sitting in the press box at the 50 for the past several years. Nothing on Saturday or Sunday compares with those Friday nights.

That is a solution that works for me, perhaps dressing in the gear of the last team that defeated them.
