Twins: Waah! Mia: Alex? Twins: Waah! Alex: In here, Mia. I'm afraid I'm leaving you with a major meltdown. Twins: Waah! Mia: Hi, babies! Twins: Zzz! Alex: Okay, so that's just irritating. Mia: Sorry.
This is normal … although it’s irritating in practice, its a backhanded compliment – parents are who the little ones care about. Mine was a horror for going to bed but she’d get an early night if there was a boring babysitter.
I have heard many parents tell their kids if you act up around me, I can deal with it, but don’t act up around others. That is a whole different story. Maybe the twins have a head start on that deal.
The basic problem is that nervous people make people nervous, especially children. Moms, who have the children the majority of the time, tend to be more nervous than part-time help. Remember why you hired help in the first place and get over it, Alex.
GBT has just copied the twins shtick from Jump Start. I hope he catches up to current world topics. What would you guys like to see him doing a story-line on?

Just think of her as IT (Infant Technology). As soon as IT people walk into the room, computers stop being cranky.

The question every parent asks: " Why are my kids so well behaved with others and such little #@&*! with me ? "

I once silenced an infant at a bookstore with a simple “Do you mind? I’m trying to read.”

Maybe Alex should rethink her policy to not hire any babes.

That’s Mia… She’s not a threat to mothers, merely an irritant.
