Frazz by Jef Mallett for January 05, 2014
Transcript:
Caulfield: I'm not seeing a lot of intensity there, Frazz. Frazz: There's a time for intensity and a time for recovery. A time to go nuts, a time to go easy; a time to burn calories, a time to not burn out; a time to work on fitness, a time to work on technique. To everything there is an off-season. Caulfield: Nice. Ecclesiastes 3 or the Byrds? Frazz: Either. They're essentially the same vintage by now.

My favorite, “a time to keep and a time to throw away”, but I don’t do the latter near as often as I should.

“Turn, Turn, Turn” sticks a little more closely to Ecclesiastes 3 than this implies. (Depending on the translation.)

Re: bellybutton but no nipples. It wouldn’t surprise me in the least if this was a syndicate dictate. Or maybe Mr. Mallet (or the colorist) just forgot.

Thanks, cfortunato. Pete Seeger did the arrangement — the Byrds just did the cover.

Is he suggesting that The Byrds are several thousand years old?
