Question: Because Dennis Rodman is now Ambassador to North Korea, does that give him diplomatic immunity from being nominated or receiving the award ?

Yes. Tom Green, Halle Barrie, and Sandra Bullock all were there to pick up their Golden Raspberry Awards, and maybe a screenwriter or two. And Bill Cosby demanded that his be sent to him when he learned he’d won — which was a problem, as they didn’t actually have an actual award to give him! They hastily cobbled something together.

Tank did not phase his response in the form of a question!

My vote goes to the legendary lead-blowing Chiefs as a team, the coaches as “coaches”, the owner as a spoiled rich kid (then again, his father was a spoiled rich kid…….). Also there needs to be a Weather System Jerk of the Year award!

Mr. Hinds – do you (or anyone) have and archive of the previous years’ winners and runners-up for those (me!) who have not seen this cartoon in awhile? Muchly appreciated!

I don’t think you can give it to Rodman, though he’s much deserving of the term ‘jerk’ – he’s retired. I do not, however, know if this actually disqualifies him, since I don’t know if being an ‘active-this-year-athlete’ is required by rule.

Will there be a way to vote for those of us who don’t tweet or face?

Regardless of diplomatic immunity, I still would vote for Dennis Rodman.

BTW, is there an official banned list of past award winners? Also, if this is the case, has anyone ever thought about a Sport Jerk Hall of Shame? The banned participants can be the first hall of shame class. :-)
