The story youāre about to hear is true. No names have been changed to protect anybody because we believe the dirty rotten slimeballs should get the punishment they deserve. Bam-de-dum-dum.
ā¦jury of peersā¦? shouldnāt HE be tried by men? Because women obviously think they are superior to men re: womens lib. Therefore if males are not the peers of females, let men pass judgment on men and let women pass judgment on women. That sounds fair and equal.
As we were told many times āYou are entitled to have enlisted personnel on your jury in a Court Marshall, but be aware they will most likely be Senior Enlisted (24+ years in service) and might be inclined to convict more than a board of all officersā. This is because the officers are more likely to be judging the convener of the court than you, while the enlisted are going to be scrutinizing you and your actions.
I wish Jack Webb was still aliveā¦.Iād love to hear him tell a secretary, āJust the fax, Maāamāā¦ā¦..BTW, Iām pretty sure some of the male posters here donāt have many close women friendsā¦.Itās like they donāt even know womenā¦.
-Does anyone ever ask: WHY did she hook up with ā and/or put up with ā the guy in the first place?-Your question is just a fancier version of the āwhy do you stay if he hits you?ā question that is asked, over and over again, when an abused spouse finally acts against an abuser.-If you are serious, there are studies you can look at that explain how victims of crime come to feel that they do, indeed ādeserveā their torment (and there is the syndrome identified as āStockholm Syndromeā, where kidnap victims came to identify more with their kidnappes than those trying to rescue them.)-There are also studies showing that those who put up with abuse do so because they grew up in a home where that was the case, so they instinctively feel that there is no other way to be. And there are studies showing that the abused person only acts when the abuser turns on a child, and they want to protect that child.
- But I suspect you arenāt serious and are only looking for that simple judgment that says ā donāt think about why someone would stay, just accept that the abuser can never change and it is totally the responsibility of the abused to self rescue, even when the abuser has threatened to kill if that eer happensā¦ā
A Grand Jury simply determines if there is probable cause to prosecute the defendant. The Grand Jury can ask questions of the DA but does not initiate an investigation nor does it convict. I just finished three months on a local Grand Jury.
Just one thing wrong with the picture: the drunken slob, jerk face looks like a drunken slob, jerk face. He should be there, clean-shaven in a suit complete with neck-brace and arm sling.
And if that doesnāt work, he could try a boy scout uniform.
argy.bargy2: The Stockholm syndrome is slightly different. As time passes there is a growing fear that ārescueā will come in shooting and what saves the captors might well save the captives too.

Who is really on trial here? The charges were brought against the female, but it is really the male who is being judged by the defendant and the jury.
