Poor old Pete’s accuracy seems to be dependent on were you live, exactly. Here in California, for example, it’s 70 degrees and sunny most days. Downside? We have a drought too.

Of all the 45s I have, it’s the one I don’t have …. and that includes a clean copy of “Don’t Say Nothin’ Bad ’Bout My Baby” by the Cookies and a couple of Herb Alpert/Tijuana Brass 45s with the picture sleeve …. and yet because of this lack, my collection is incomplete….

Just goes to show that there are all kinds of love during our lifetimes…I’d think Nancy and Frank would be the ones with “forever love,” however… ;)

Actually, I think of that each time we all discuss the strip… how his thoughts and whomever else he involves (including Karen) are being reflected… to me, it’s a sort of implied thing that whatever we discuss, right in the middle of it all, are his views (or if not his personal views being manifest, at least the purpose he has brought forth for each character) “bleeding through” the dialogue of the characters and the artwork, as well…

No, I saw that, too…and don’t forget the color in the balloons…..- I would feel safe to say that others saw that, too… I’m sure it was a mix of 50/50….

As far as Luann and Quill are concerned, I suspect that it’s a “pet” of Karen’s, as Greg said that he was a bit bored with the character of Quill… My personal reasoning is that Karen would seem to be the one to possibly suggest a long tem romantic relationship for Luann, (with all of the sentimental attachments that Luann exudes for Quill), that it would seem to come from a “mind of a female” – not that a male couldn’t portray “romantic”, but it just seems that Luann’s developing sentimentality is being “enhanced” from what to me would seem to be a “product of a female touch”….– As I also suspect that Quill’s also staying, because of the Evanses’ strong affinity for Australia, since they had resided there for a time…..

And this one was part of a large local chain, and now it’s down to one ( maybe two) stores in the chain… – But we have many local and private flea markets where I do a lot of “hunting”… that and the “Goodwill” and related thrift stores.. some would be quite surprised what is laying around in them…..

Yeah, I should have put that qualifier/caveat in my last two comments, that it’s “JMO” (-pinion/ -bservation) or “JMT” (-houghts)….
