    Only logical. Most self-help books seem to be written by folks who don’t know much, just as most school boards are made up of people who know nothing about teaching.

    I wasn’t very bright as a kid, probably a lot of that carried over into adulthood. I used to do that, then open my eyes, and the effect was that the “lights” would block my vision, which would return after about 30 seconds. (Kind of like looking at a flash bulb on a camera)

    From personal experience I would not recommend this particular technique.
