They’ll be having chicken fingers for dinner tonight, Mr. Censor; if you stop by, I’m sure they’ll be glad to give you a finger.

Is this the difference between Pearls and The Family Circus? Patsis needs 2/3 of the strip to set up for a lame punchline?

You can’t censor euphemism, ask Craig Ferguson, he loads his monologue with double meanings and then laughs at the producer.

Who will stop “The Punster’?.How about ’The Homonym”!.Miss steakes maid while you weight!.Take that Punster!

Me thinks there’s a story behind this one.

Lately the alleged humor has becoming more and more obvious before it happens.

Not the first time the censor has been there, and also, the first panel made it so obvious what was coming, I don’t see how anyone can laugh.

This one doesn’t deserve a punch line… It deserves a punch out…!

Love the Snidely Whiplash moustache!

Reminds me of the early Tweety cartoon- before Sylvester. Babbit and Catsetello are trying to catch Tweety. Babbit sends Catstello up a ladder, and tells him “Get up there and give me the bird.” Catstello look at the camera and says “Oh, if only the Hayes office would let me, I’d give him the bird all right.”

I wouldn’t be surprised if Comic Strip Censor-guy were anti-pancake. Pancakes can be shaped like almost anything, including all the objectionable thingees!

Where was this censor when they showed the Doritos commercial made by a guy from Australia.Where you get your Dorito dusted finger clean…..that one is soooo funny…it should have be number 1.Time Machine was funny too but “insert finger into cleaning machine.” that is just too funny.

I like it! … If you can manage to wring a groan by the retelling of this it would be worth it, too.

And, don’t forget THING!

Must be a new censor. The old comic book censor just covered his eyes, put his fingers in his ears and hollared, “YAHYAHYAHYAHYAH!!” when he walked past Pearls.

Who will love a little sparrow, and who will speak a kindly word? Not I said the Comic Censor

Then there was the Women’s Club breakfast where they served flapjills!

Rat being innocent is a nice touch. This is why this is my favorite comic.

I think he’s anti-humour.

Oooo, yeah – I just remembered that (my bad). I do thank you for the play on the Munsters, tho, it took me back to a time when I looked forward to watching TV…
