Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
On the other hand, playing WoW isnât likely to do much for your social skills. My kid asked me to define âinane drivelâ, so I had him read 30 minutes of âBarrens Chatâ (Now known as the trade channel). He cried.
Really? Weâve mentioned WoW more times than I can count. I myself have never played it, but then, I (gasp) donât play video games. _________________________________
As for Royâs weight- we gave readers a taste of what a skinny Roy would look like last week and many found it unsettling.
@Thomas Scott Roberts⊠awww, are you saying that Kathy isnât as ânormalâ as Carolina or Sue? ;-) âŠWell, honestly, who wants to be ânormalâ? Kathy is unique (just like the rest of them), which is way better than ânormalâ. Roy just needs to keep being Roy.
I love every member of this strip for their own uniqueness. I like a strip where I can identify with a character (Kathy) or see my family/friends/co-workers in other characters.
I once heard that ânormalâ is just a word selected by boring people in an attempt to put down those of us who are more interesting.
Seriously, though, I have always been too shy to make friends by myself; Cuddles Cockatoo (as my alter-ego) was a great ice breaker, and my new friend is a performer ;-) My BP has been very easy to control just with breathing in the last few weeks (135/71 this morning- no meds).
I am sad to hear yet again a reference to a âdefectâ. I have read your posts for some time and am sure you are more open minded than that suggests. Donât let these mass population stereotypes keep their grip. I think they are the real subliminal defect.I once had a shrink tell me my anxiety levels were abnormally high. I couldnât help but wonder if all of you who are not like me have levels too low. I have learned things about being human that would have eluded me if I was ânormalâ. I want nothing to do with such things.
The dry, clinical definition of normal is âthe greatest number of samples.â If there are 100 people, fifty of whom have blue hats, 30 of whom have red hats, and 20 of whom have yellow hats, then blue would be the norm, or ânormal.âItâs only popular connotation that altered the word into a judgement on acceptability.

If Roy can actually get a woman to marry him despite all his faults, he can certainly learn to socialize with the rest of the population.

Donât worry Roy, Activision has dumbed the game down so low itâs bleeding players. Will be gone in a bit.
