my poor son in law has what he calls the “trifecta” with my daughter…….her Birthday, Christmas and their Anniversary and he can’t win no matter what he does.
I agree with Tammy and Gofer. I don’t understand her, and in the 40 years we’ve been married, hubby and I have gone out to dinner, but never exchanged gifts.
The wife in this cartoon is supposed to be the epitome of the bitchy wife, so naturally, none of us gals understands her; we aren’t like that!
seriously,
My thing to do for any special occasion is making a special meal (sometimes going out for it, but ONLY if the day is not special to anyone else). I don’t like the way that restaurants handle holidays, because I can do it better.
I love a gift anytime, but not just because it is some special DAY.
Tony’s Facebook question was……Are you married?.Yes and I think life goes along much easier if everyone just says what they really mean. Mind games are no fun for anyone.
My husband and I do not exchange Birthday, Anniversary and Christmas gifts. We know if we want something we just go buy it. It makes the “holiday” stress free. After 50 years we got everything we need.

You said it, ma’am, not him. Wait, was that reverse psychology you used on him?
