Gil’s cheating. By propping his elbow on his leg, he’s not getting half the benefit he could be getting from those curls. Probably he’s embarrassed by how much stronger Kaz is.

If Lucky Haskins is so notorious, where was he last season?

I think an accident-prone oaf at third is just what we need to liven up the baseball season. Better than a litigious second baseman or a singing pitcher.

Lucky Haskins has been on third at MILFord for the last 7 years and he was at one time engaged to Keri Thorpe prior to her career in a Sweatshop in Shelbyville. This storyline should carry us well into July!Jon

Lucky Haskins, great-grandson of Marvelous Marv Throneberry.

Gil seems to have quite the cavalier attitude towards coaching anymore since he reached full retirement age (which probably happened about the time the Thorp children left home).

In all reality, Lucky wasn t so lucky smacking the cabinet with his eye, I call vision problems for him. Not much weight being lifted by either Gil nor Kaz. Go Heavy or Go Home.

Oh goody, a storyline about an accident prone thirdbaseman, The quality should be right up there with Gilligan’s Island and Three’s Company. But not quite as intelligent.

No wonder Lucky is clumsy. Look at how his acromegaly has affected his hand! I wonder if exposure to the aliens is causing this bizarre effect on the growth hormones of Milford’s teens.

I’m a tad disappointed that no one jumped on the phrase “Ouch time!” in yesterday’s strip. I sense it will serve us well as a punch line in the coming months.

Shoot! After yesterday and the cereal I was hoping Hobbes was going to come out of the cabinet and jump on this guy today!

No wonder Milford’s team have been bad…Gil has already pegged Don for CF, when Don really wants to pitch. Maybe Don really can glove at 3B? Just sayin’ (or was I supposed to read between the lines and assume that it was in P2.5?)

Bear, thanks…now I can’t get the song out of my head. At least it’s a good song.

Bitsy, I also was surprised that “Ouch Time” went uncommented…it’s a pretty bizarre phrase if you’re over 3 years old.
