These early strips are bringing back some memories. Like every adult I knew calling me a commie some reason I still can’t fathom.

The strip was a cheeky breath of fresh air when it started, and over the years, Trudeau came to care for his characters and the strip ripened into something deeper. I like it whichever way — I was the right age to come for the quick laffs and stay for the developments.

I don’t know much about football, but a button hook seems counterproductive to catching a long bomb. Is it just me, or maybe BD is getting a contact high from Z?

You need some room for facial expressions even if you wouldn’t use it in reality.Consider space suits that light up the faces for the viewers but would never be used in reality.
