    But in the hive the queen is the ONLY fertile female, so in that regard - ladies are scarce.

    But on the other hand, lady bee bugs don’t suckle their young whereas the male lady bugs can’t lay eggs because…well….just because.

    Well, at least it wasn’t THE ladybug from “A Bug’s Life.”

    Ladybug yelling at two houseflies who did sexual harrassment: “SO! Being a ladybug automatically makes me a GIRL! Is that, eh, fly boy?”

    Housefly to another housefly: “Yikes! She’s a guy!”
