Is there no softball storyline this season? Is Milford exempt from Title IX?

Lucky’s back to hitting lefthanded. Neal should have gone all the way and made the opponent the Bryant Bears.

Either Kaz or Gil should do some coaching and tell Lucky that he’ll never get a hit swinging almost two feet above the ball.

In all reality, everything in P 2 is wrong. Lucky is running towards the backstop and the catcher standing in front of the plate not looking for the passed ball. It is a charmed life for Lucky until the brakes on the bus fail.

In all reality, from the road sign in P 3 the bus Luckys on took a wrong turn and is now in Iraq. Maybe Lucky got on the wrong bus and is with Milford Natl Guardsmen lead by Sgt Rock deployed to Iraq. Good luck Lucky.

A little Google search revealed there is an Omaha Bryan High School so the boys must be on a western swing as someone earlier this week identified another Omaha high school they’d been playing. Hard telling where that road sign is pointing them, but the boys could be headed into Kansas by now.

Did Milford enter a new division? Bryan? Millard North? What’s next? Ogdenville, Brockway, and North Haverbrook?

Two games in two days? It took a month to get that far into the basketball season. Watch out for those darn teenage drivers in today’s Mopped Up Thorp.

Do the writers have any Omaha area connection? The opponents in today’s tip are “Millard North” and “Bryan high schools Bears,” both schools and teams in the Omaha area.

There is a Bryan in the northwest corner Ohio, and their team nickname is The Golden Bears. … and a Milford in southwest Ohio that has the nickname Eagles, which is a bird like a Mudlark. I think the mystery has been solived (now, where are those two precocious Thorp children ….)
