Maybe Jimmy needs a continuity expert. . . .

Maybe due to their positioning in front of the fire at night? Our local paper printed today’s strip twice, the first spot was under the One Big Happy banner. Now that’s funny, JJ gets twice the space today!

Does that answer all questions? At least for the time being?
Children’s hair often gets darker as they get older, but no usually from blonde to black.

I looked back to the 08/12/08 strip – “…precious weekends…” any chance Gene IS Meg’s father?

Good answer little girl, take care of today and then worry about the big picture….

Don’t forget that “tinter” is not the same as “cartoonist”, and that while we think “cartoonist now” is the same as “cartoonist then” with good authority, there is no authority what ever that I know of for “tinter then” being the same as “tinter now”.

Gene isn’t the father! Mary Lou was pregnant one year when Gene and A&J returned for the summer. Mary Lou was 14 or 15. The boy who got her pregnant dumped her. http://www.gocomics.com/arloandjanis/1997/06/13#.UzOXxvldWSo
But that also means Meg is 16 and Mary Lou is 30? Or did Johnson slow down the aging process over the years?
