    I love seeing Marigold, magical creature that she is, deigning to have such mundane fun. She’s not only magical; she’s a good sport. I loved her scarf and leg warmers. I wonder if she’ll wear a hat for spring.

    The magic is that Marigold is able to transfer her weight to the lampshade, hence she does not crush the roomba but the lamp was not designed to hold the weight transferred to the shade. Probably Marigold meant to distribute her weight to the entire lamp but the roomba has slightly disturbed her equipoise.
