Danae: Hmm...I need a better vantage point. Ah, there you are! Trying to hide in the shadows, eh? Nice try, old friend... ...But you overstayed your welcome, so now... Vengeance is mine! Die! Die! Die! Joe: *sigh* Now what? Kate: She's hunting down the last piles of snow to get revenge for the long, lousy winter we had. Joe: Oh, if only that'd help stave off winter next year! Kate: *hee hee* Yeah. Joe: I think we might have another shovel around somewhere... Kate: Go for it daddy! Nothing pummeled, nothing gained.

The whole ‘World is worried about the melting glaciers and Danae is killing their babies… Aren’t they protected by the endangered species act?

It appears all that snow has gone Maine stream.

I noticed Friday as I left the parking garage in downtown Hartford, CT that there was one last pile left, about 6ft high, in the shadows where the plows had been dumping the snow. Even with all the rain and warm(er) weather! Amazing how it lasts.

No glaciers were harmed in the making of this comic strip

Not think plummeting winter; especially when it is dying will solve the problem. Unless we hear what Kate is really saying. So now we get into a situation involving meteorology and philosophy…or why does little sister sit there all the time reading? What is the name of her book(s).

Give Danae a book to get lost in and it spills over into the rest of her “normal” life (and I use the term “normal” VERY loosely.)

There are no snow demons. There are snow serpents.Every pile of snow is the head of one. If you feed them too much water vapor, they grow. There are giant snow serpents in the Arctic circle whose tails reached to Seattle and Chicago when they were fed too much water vapor. If you want to stop them from growing, keep the oceans cool so evaporation is reduced. This will cause atmospheric warming, but it will keep the serpents under control.Or get out a shovel and start thwacking.Your choice, as always.

What we really need Danae for is to thwack out the Burmese pythons from the Everglades.

When you get a day off from school due to a snow storm you are happy. Always remember the bad times not the good.

Somehow I don’t think this is going to have much effect on the inclination of the planet away from the sun later on this year.

I love making up my own traditions, celebrations, philosophies and holidays….For the record, every day is “Just Read For Awhile Day” in my world….Some people look at me funny when call someone a “reader”…They seem to think, Hey everybody reads, right?….Yeah, but not 15 to 20 books a year…….I can’t imagine going anywhere without a book ………..

No comment about global warming or cooling, of winters or snow..I just really like the looks of the fourth panel and Danae’s flying shovel attack.

Just commented on some of those piles today — only the color is wrong — around here they have all turned black and are hard as rock.

Last piles of snow? Though they were gone by March in northern NJ, here it is May and some places in the US are still getting snow! Maybe not tons of it, but snow nonetheless.
