Rob Wilco: Why is there a donkey pinata in the hall? Satchel pooch: It's part of Bucky's new anti-ferret plan. Rob Wilco: Hm. I just saw him with a hammer. That's foreboding. Satchel Pooch: Actually it's for bonking. Rob Wilco: I'm not liking the look of this. Satchel pooch: You should hear him explain it. It sounds worse than it looks. Rob Wilco: What's the pinata for? Satchel Pooch: He plans to hide inside it until the ferrets bring it in to their party. And then he'll jump out and attack them. Rob Wilco: Why is he looking for string? Satchel Pooch: There's not enough room inside the pinata for him and the hammer. He's going to hang the hammer around the pinata's neck. Rob Wilco: The pinata that he's inside of. Satchel Pooch: On the plus side, it's going to be a legendary ferret party.

Yes, this one connects with last Sunday. It looks like Darby is going to run some continuous storylines that run Sunday to Sunday. The only other strip I can think of that has done it is Wiley’s “Homer the Reluctant Soul” series in Non Sequitur.

Thanks for pointing out last week that Darby is now doing Sunday arcs. This is a funny story line and I think I would have caught on. I went back a couple of months and there was an arc with the tarot cards but that was not as funny and I did not catch on.
