Shakespeare is classified as non-fiction, so it should be shelved in the British poetry section, in 822.3. From there, each play is given a letter and number suffix, comedies first, then tragedies. At least, in the Dewey system. Library of Congress is much more complicated, and much more likely to give one a headache.
