Word. I wish Stephan would just make a spinoff strip with the stupid crocs in it so PBS could return to what it was before they took it over.

Pat ASJAK?! The comic censor is going to love that…

Ok, Pastis and who ever is doing the coloring (probably Pastis but likely someone on GoComics), this is getting ridiculous. Go back over this series. The set of the show is the player next to Sajak is red, then yellow, and finally blue. The series starts May 12th with the positions in the right order and Andy in the yellow slot. Day two, May 13th, BC is introduced. Again the player positions are in the right order, BC is introduced as the red player and Andy the yellow. Day three, May 14th, sees the intro of Larry (I’ve been assuming it’s Larry given past comics). Again the player positions are in the right order, but now we don’t know where Andy and BC are as their not shown. And Larry is riding the wheel. Day four, May 15, things start getting funky. First the yellow position now next to Sajak and the red player position is beside the blue position. Color oops. Andy and BC are back, but BC is now to Andy’s left (right as we view the strip). Which put’s Larry in the yellow position on Andy’s right (our left). Day five, May 16th, player positions appear return to their right order, but player oops continues. Larry, now in the red position as he should have been on day four, is fine, but BC and Andy switch places. Which brings us to today, day six, May 17th. Positions are in their right order but now BC and Larry have switched places as while BC is not shown Larry is now in the yellow position.

Excuse me, I just noticed Pastis did confirm it is Larry. Having noticed the mix ups in color and player position, I didn’t pay attention to Sajak’s dialogue in the first panel.

Yesterday’s comments about the spoofs being dated are sorta true. Andy Capp hasn’t smoked in decades, He quit when his creator, Reg Smythe quit. Of course, he’s still a drunken layabout.

FINALLY – more crocs!

Who is complaining about the crocs taking over??? This has been a fun week, we usually only see them once a month or so! I would love a spin off, rat gets a little tiring for me.

I like the squiggle in Sajak’s word balloon in the last panel. It’s a great way of conveying voice tone in a print medium.

I wouldn’t mind another “Angry Bob” story myself. That would be on a Sunday, though.

I like spoofs. I like spoofs with cartoon characters. This is fun.

@ all those complaining about Crocs taking over or not enough Crocs, need more Rat, etc.: I like this strip best when it includes all the characters somewhat regularly. It you’re going to get back to how it started, it’s going to be just Rat, and no one else (except maybe Pig). Zebra, Goat, the Crocs, etc. all were introduced as Pastis felt the need for more characters.

The most famous comic strip quote of all time is “Deck us all with Boston Charlie” (and so forth……..) About the coloring: Andy’s nose is finally red, at least!
