My observation is that if a cat doesn’t get a solid 20 hours of sleep every day they’re no good at all for the other four.

The time spent when and just after she hears the can opener doesn’t actually count.

Sometimes they poop on the carpet…

Not true, Earl. You aren’t allowing for eating, scratching, throwing up for the fun of it, staring at nothing to freak out the humans, and,according to T.S. Eliot, contemplating their names.

Oh, and pooping and spraying.

That is so wrong! they spend the ret of their time eating, scratching and sleeping!

Our cat spends mornings waiting for us to get up for breakfast then sleeping on our bed. If he looked out the window be wondering how he can catch birds and he does not look out the window a lot.

Dogs have “owners” cats have “staff” !!!

We had a cat named Rainbow (not that she ever answered to it) who would sit in my lap, allowing me to pet her, all soft and sweet when she spotted a bird, turned rock-hard, slipped away like a swift shadow.

Yep… That’s cats for you.

I casually mentioned to our vet that cats sleep as long as horses stay awake. She stopped, gears whirred, the light bulb lit, and she agreed. Most of her work was with farm animals. The apples to oranges connection got her.

Sounds exactly like my kitty. We would not trade her for the world. Love her so much.
